William Bobby Hammonds "Bob" was born on March 29, 1930 to his parents, O.C. Hammonds and Lena (Bond) Hammonds, in Ford County, Texas. Bob passed away on November 4, 2019 in Temple, Texas.

He was proceeded in death by his parents O.C. and Lena Hammonds and his three sisters, Clementine, Glenda, and Margrete. He married his wife, Joy Lynne Wilkerson on October 2, 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas. He studied at the University of North Texas and graduated with his Master's Degree in Education. Bob worked as the Assistant Superintendent in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford I.S.D. for 17 years. He farmed peanuts, pecans, watermelon, and raised cattle. His hobbies were collecting and restoring antique cars and tractors.

His daughter and son-in-law - Christy and Clem Bommarito of Richardson, Texas

His son and daughter-in-law - Brad and Christi Hammonds of Port Aransas, Texas

His daughter - Darlia Simpson of Rockwall, Texas

His six grandchildren - Alaina, Taryn, Brody, Sarah, Patrick, and Nicholas

His five great-grandchildren

His sisters - Mare Brock of Escondido, California and Janell Farmer of Pawhuska, Oklahoma

His brother - Lonnie Hammonds of Salem, Arkansas

and many relatives and friends that will miss him greatly.
