Samuel Lewis Godfrey of Dublin, Texas returned home with his Savior on January 6, 2024. Samuel was born on April 3, 1950, to his parents Cleo Christine (Stephens) and Clarence Montgomery in Akron, Ohio.

He was a long-time member of Cottonwood Baptist Church and created a lifetime of memories with great fellowship. Samuel will be missed dearly by his friends and family.

Samuel is preceded in passing by his daughter, Lilly Miranda Godfrey.

Samuel is survived by his children, Holly Black, Rachele Vela, and husband, Rick, Kendra Pena, and husband, Lou, sister, Gerry Fortune, brother, Robert Godfrey, grandchildren, Grace, Cassidy, Feliz, Allie'Cin, Clarence, Jayden, Kamie, Kandace, and husband James, Lauren, Marissa, Derek, Icesis, Nathaniel, and great grandchildren, Sutton, Emmy, James Jr., Alania, Hades, Inari, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service to be held Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Harrell Funeral Home beginning at 1:00pm.
