Obituary

There will be a celebration of life Friday February 1 3pm to 5pm at the Dublin Senior Center. Her final resting place will be at the Holy Archangels Greek Orthodox Monastery in Kendalia Texas.

Cancer took our dear Ruth Marsh away January 27 in Dublin Texas. She was surrounded by her daughters Helen and Frances Marsh and Terah Lewis in her final hours in her home. She was preceded in death, by her husband Frank Marsh.
Deep thank you to the many, many friends that came and brought food, love and support during Ruth's very quick ascent. Just like her life she was strong and caring through the end. Ruth Marsh was born February 15 , 1946 in Orange County.

If you knew Ruth she was an amazing multifaceted, wise and compassionate woman. She lived life with few regrets, from "running away and joining the circus" as a traipse artist to flying airplanes, to ham radio, as well as an artist of many mediums. She was queen of the local Red Hat's as well as a personality at the Chicken House Flea market. Ruth was a dynamic individual with a breadth of acceptance from gay rights activism in South Texas in the early 90's to her commitment to the Greek Orthodox Church.
