Ruth LaVerne Barton, 88, passed away on September 27, 2020 in Mesquite, Texas. Ruth was born on October 8, 1932 in Brown County, Texas to her parents Walter Richardson and Bessie Irene (Davis) Richardson. She worked at David's grocery store in Dublin, Texas for many years. Ruth is proceeded in death by her parents Walter Richardson and Bessie Irene (Davis) Richardson, her husband Jones Barton, her three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Susie Hornsby of Benbrook, Texas, daughter and son-in-law Glenda and Drew McLean of Dublin, Texas, grandson and his wife, Nathan and Ami McLean of Dublin, Texas, step-grandson and wife, Rick Whiteley and Alicia of Ronoke, Texas, six great-grandchildren, one great great-grandson and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives who will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be held at Harrell Funeral Home in Dublin, Texas on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 5:00-7:00pm.

Graveside service will be held Friday, October 2, 2020 at 11:00am at Sipe Springs Cemetery in Comanche County.
