Obituary

"Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him." 1 Cor 2:9

Roynald "Ron" Joe Luker, 76 years (Aug 2nd, 1944 - May 9th 2021), went to be with our Lord and Savior on May 9th, 2021 in his home in Arthur City, Texas. He was a peanut farmer for a while in Procter, worked many years in the oil fields and most recently as a contract trucker for the USPS hauling mail between San Angelo and Midland, Texas. He had many talents and was good at all the challenges he took on. He was a proud Texan and American. He was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor and often would leave you bent over laughing. He loved country living, working on his home place, and raising livestock. He was very greatful for all the love and care provided for so many years by his dear friend and neighbor Lahonda McDowra and also for the love and kindness of all the nurses that attended him in the last couple of years. His family extends their appreciation as well.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents Roy Dee and Thelma Jo Luker, wife Alice Luker, sisters Shana Jackson and Jeri Metcalfe, and daughter-in-law Maris Luker.
