King
May 6, 1938 – September 5, 2022
Royce Dwaylen King went to be with the Lord on September 5th, 2022, at his residence in Dublin, Tx. Royce was born on May 6th, 1938, to his parents Waldo "Buck" and Costella Higginbotham King in Dublin, Tx. After high school, Royce went to work in the oil field and eventually came back to Dublin where he worked as a bus driver for the school district. Royce met his wife Susie and the two were married on June 25th, 1982, and together they had 6 children.
Royce loved to spend time in the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and spending time with his kids, grandchildren and siblings. He also enjoyed playing cards and dominos. He was very dedicated to his parents, and some would even say that he was a mama's boy. While driving the school bus, he found great joy in joking with the kids and aggravating them.
Royce was preceded in death by his parents Waldo "Buck" and Costella King, his sons Darrell Lee King and Bill Seabourn and his daughter Susie Seabourn.
Royce is survived by his wife Susie King of Dublin, Tx, sons and daughters-in-law Ronnie and Teresa King of Dublin, Tx and Kenneth and Shelley King of Amarillo, Tx, his daughter and son-in-law Sandra and Mike McCrary of San Antonio, Tx, his grandchildren Dustin, Brady, Lindsey, Leslie and Krystal and his 10 great-grandchildren, his sisters and brothers-in-laws Judy and Whistle Thompson of Dublin, Tx and Sue and Craig Dameron of Texas and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
The family will be having a memorial service to celebrate Royce's life that will be announced at a later date.
