Ronald James Cannon, Sr. has passed away at the age of 83. He went to be with the LORD on June 15, 2017. He was born November 25, 1933 in Gainesville, Texas to his parents, Marion Clayton Cannon and Sarah Louise (Cotton)Cannon.

Ronald was a veteran of the United States Army. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1956. That same year, he married Barbara Jean (Agnew) in Lovington County, New Mexico. Together they had four children.

After retiring from a long career as an architect, Ronald took up farming. He was also a man of many talents, from cooking to fishing. He was a loving dad, grandpa, and husband.

Ronald was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Michael Cannon, Jr. in 1993 and his brother, Larry Cannon.

He will be remembered by his wife - Barbara Cannon of Dublin, Texas; his daughters and son-in-laws - Teresa & Neil Feist of Priddy, Texas and Patty & Dennis Shumate of Comanche, Texas; his son and daughter-in-law - Ronald & Angie Cannon of Dublin, Texas; his grandchildren - Cassie, Christopher, Brittainy, Cory, Brandon, Holly, Shelby, Kendra, and Keili; his great-grandchildren - Kendall, Brylen, Bryson, Aislyn, Jaysa Kate, Brynlee, Caroline, Kynzlee, and Gunner; his brother - Johnny Cannon of Helena, Oklahoma; and others who will miss him greatly.
