Peggy Jean (McCleskey) Broughton was born September 19,1934 in Hamilton County, Texas to Edith Grace Ashmore and Dock Clyde McCleskey.    She married Milton Leon Broughton I on August 11, 1962, and together they raised three children. Eugenia Lynn, Milton Leon II, and stepdaughter Cynthia Leona.

Peggy was always assisting her spouse with his Income Tax and Bookkeeping service while raising children. She was involved in church choir, square dancing, a cub scout leader, and a football mom to little Leon.     She was known for her sewing skills. She enjoyed making blankets for her children's 4H sheep and made barbie doll clothing for Cindy and Gina's dolls, and most of the clothes her children wore.  In later years, she enjoyed quilting and making her own dresses.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, spouse, Leon I, and her son, Little Leon.

She is survived by her daughter Eugenia Beezley of Dublin, Texas, son, Bill Boucher, of Upton Wyoming, and stepdaughter Cynthia L. Ross of Waco, Texas. Four grandchildren, Jeremy Boucher, of Gustine, Texas, Christopher Walker and spouse, Julie, of San Angelo, Texas, Matthew Walker of Valley Mills, Texas, Laura Shackelford and spouse, Nina, of Kempner, Texas, great grandchildren, Melody Walker, Bethany Walker, Madison Bennett, Morgan Bennett, Kyle Bennett, and Aiden Shackelford.
