Paula Helen (Picard) Hays passed away on July 12, 2022 in Carlton, TX. Paula was born on December 14, 1963 in Providence, Rhode Island to her parents Roland Thomas Picard and Helen Claudine (Parkman) Picard. She married James Lewis Hays on March 4, 1991. Paula worked at several nursing homes for many years in the housekeeping department.

She is survived by her husband James Hays of Carlton, TX, her son and daughter-in-law Richard and Carla Whisenant of Hico, TX, her grandchildren Jason Sexton, Justin Dickson, Jayden Dickson, and Christian Green, her sisters-in-law Sally Tomlinson of Iredell, TX and Sherry Dotson of Beamont, TX, and several other relatives who will miss her dearly.

Memorial services will be held at the Carlton Baptist Church at a later date.
