Onesimo DeLaCerda Ortiz of Dublin, Texas, passed away from this life on March 31, 2025, at his residence. Born on February 16, 1946, in Coahuila, Mexico, Onesimo was one of five siblings born to his parents, Gudalupe and Santiago. He was known for his love of animals, specifically horses, and his passion for music, which could be heard before reaching his home. A dedicated worker, Onesimo never took a day off, always finding something to do. Above all, he cherished his family, especially his grandchildren.

Onesimo is preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Maria. He is survived by his daughters, Nelda Domiguez and Mireya Medina; his sons, Gerardo DeLeCerda and Saul DeLaCerda; his siblings, Samuel Vasquez, Gloria Sosa, Enedelia Vasquez, and Elsa DeLeon; and his grandchildren, Roxana Dominguez, AnaKaren Dominguez, Issac Nieto, Jaidy Ramirez, Monica DeLaCerda, Ulises DeLaCerda, Eli DeLaCerda, Jackie DeLaCerda, Giselle DeLaCerda, and Zayda DeLaCerda.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Harrell Funeral Home from 6:00-8:00pm. Services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Harrell Memorial Chapel at 10:00am, followed by interment at the Lower Greens Creek Cemetery.
