A celebration of life service for Norma Jean Shafer, 89, of Pasadena, Texas will be Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Harrell's Funeral Home in Dublin, Texas.

Norma was born on March 11, 1930 in Dublin.  She is the daughter of Percy Cecil Neal and Goldie Isabelle (Cole) Neal. Norma and the love of her life, Everett Shafer, raised their three sons in Pasadena.  Norma took tremendous pride in her career of being a wife and mother and had a strong independent spirit.  She also had unwavering love and loyalty to the ones she held dear. Beyond her family, Norma always ensured her home was spotless; her garden full of beautiful plants and flowers; and she was always ready to make her grandkids oatmeal raisin cookies and banana pudding.

Everett and their son, Stanley Lee, preceded her in death.  Norma is survived by her brother, Billy Neal; her son, Jeffery Cole; her son Stephen Dwain and his wife Vicki; beautiful grandchildren, Jeremy, Nicole, Jordan, Jamie, Justin; and their families that include many precious great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be at 1:00pm prior to the celebration of life at Harrell's Funeral Home 112 N Camden St, Dublin, Texas 76446.  We will then proceed to the Live Oak Cemetery where Norma's body will be laid to rest next to her husband.
