Graveside Cremation Service: 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 30th at Old Dublin Memorial Park Cemetery
Melinda D. Tucker was born on October 30th, 1956 to parents, Howard and Ilah Tucker. She was one of four siblings: Michael Tucker, Timothy Tucker, and Richard Tucker. Her oldest brother, Michael Tucker, survives her.
Melinda received a BA in Political Science from Texas Christian University and taught for several years at Lake Worth High School in Fort Worth, Texas. She moved to San Antonio and received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from St. Mary's Laws School. She worked as an Assistant City Attorney for San Antonio, followed by a career as a Hearing Officer for the Texas Workforce Commission.
She was a true Texan, full of good stories along with a great sense of humor. She enjoyed politics, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and close friends. She was a kind and gentle person and will be missed dearly.
