Maria Cruz left this earthly life and entered eternal rest on October 15, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Maria touched many lives throughout her time here on earth and made a positive impact on each person she encountered. A strong woman of faith, Maria was a member of the Parish at St. Brendan Catholic Church in Stephenville, TX. Maria was a dedicated and hardworking member of her community and a smiling face for 28 years at HEB. Her warmth, kindness, generosity and unwavering love will be missed by many.

Maria is preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Conception Sauceda; sisters, Rebecca Rubio and Emilia Gomez; brother, Juan Sauceda and daughter, Mary Lou Garza. She is survived by her sons George Cruz, John Cruz (Yvonne) and Thomas Cruz and family, Lupe Joyer (Richard) and Monica Huffman (JB). Maria was a proud grandmother to 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Maria was a loyal and loving sister to her siblings; Conception Sauceda (Adelina), Richard Sauceda (Letty), Rachel Mendez and Sylvia Mascorro (Jimmy). The love that Maria had for her family knew no bounds.

Funeral Services:

Mass at St. Brendan's Catholic Church on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 1:00pm.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2024, for a Memorial Luncheon at St. Mary's Catholic Church Family Life Center 12286 S. US Hwy 377 Dublin, Texas 76446 following services at St. Brendan's.
