Obituary

Marc Duane Shadden, of Dublin, Texas, passed away on October 17, 2026, in Dublin at the age of 67. He was born on February 9, 1959, in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Marc will be remembered as a man who deeply loved his family and especially his wife, and who also held a special affection for his dogs. He served in the Marine Corps and was extremely proud of his service to his country. That pride remained an important part of who he was and reflected the strength and devotion with which he lived his life.

Above all, Marc’s life was centered on the people he loved. He is survived by his children: Elisha Spiech and her husband, Chris; Tricia Shadden; Daniel Shadden and his wife, Elizabeth; Jerry Parks and his wife, Sandy; and Jennifer Garcia and her husband, Robert. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Matthew Haller, Julie Haller, Marc Haller, Caleb Shadden, McKayla Loar, Evan Loar, Keldon Loar, Skyler Parks and his wife, Rangsey, Jeremy Parks, Kaitlyn Reynolds and her husband, Ben, and Dennis Creamer III. His great-grandchildren, Bentley Creamer, Colton Reynolds, Aria Creamer, Annora Parks, and Mayci Reynolds. Marc is also survived by his siblings, Anita Peck, Daniel Shadden, Mike Shadden, Pat Shadden, and Virginia Belt.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marilyn Shadden. The bond they shared remained an enduring part of his life, and the love he had for his wife was one of the qualities that defined him most.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 24, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Harrell Funeral Home, 112 North Camden Street, Dublin, Texas 76446.

Marc will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. May his memory bring comfort to his family and friends, and may the love he gave so freely continue to live on in those he leaves behind.
