Laura Louise O'Grady of Carlton, TX left this earthly peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on February 14, 2025. Laura was born on September 14, 1953, in Lubbock, Texas to her parents LaMyrle and Quenton Scarborough. Laura was known for her love of cooking, and sharing her recipes, even to strangers. Although she made sure they weren't strangers for long. She also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and travelling locally or far away with her husband of 18 years, John, to barbeque cook-offs. She will be missed by all, and her sugar cookies.

Laura is preceded in death by her parents, LaMyrle and Quenton Scarborough.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John R. Grady, daughters; Nicole Himbury and spouse, Nathan, Jaclyn La Porte, Missy Strickland and spouse, James, Leslie Montgomery and spouse, Andy, son, Kenneth and spouse, Deborah, brother, Frank Scarborough, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to honor Laura's life to the Military Non-Profit or the Alzheimer's Association.
