Visitation for Juanita Burleson will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 in Harrell Memorial Chapel.

Funeral Services will be held at Harrell Memorial Chapel the following day, Thursday, November 30th at 2 P.M.

After the ceremony, she will be laid to rest at Barbee Cemetery.


Juanita R. Burleson, 94, joined the LORD in heaven on November 27, 2017. She was born in Grosvenor, Texas on May 17, 1923 to her parents, James Edmond Robertson and Addie Mae (Wright) Robertson.

Juanita married Gayle Barbee in 1941 and from this union, two children were born. She worked at the local peanut mill and was a member of the Edna Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Burleson was preceded in death by her husband, Gayle Barbee in September of 1949, her second husband, Tommie Burleson in 1996, her son, Leldon Barbee in 2001, and her sister, Marie Pettijohn.

She will be remembered by her son and daughter-in-law  -  Frank & Rita Barbee of Dublin, Texas; her grandsons  -  John F. Barbee & Sarah of Dublin, Texas and Walter Gayle Barbee of Idaho; her sisters  -  June Muruszack of Wickliff, Ohio and Darlene McDonald of Houston, Texas; and numerous other friends and relatives who will miss her.                                                                                           Memorials can be made to the Barbee Cemetery Association.
