Obituary

Joyce Laverne Hancock Swindle, 88, a loving mother, grandmother, great & great-great grandmother, and sister went home to her Lord and Savior on Saturday Sept. 2, 2023, at home surrounded by family and friends.

Visitation: 9:00-10:15am Saturday at Dublin First Assembly of God/Church Of The Lost And Found at 512 N. Park St., Dublin, Texas. Service: 10:30am following the viewing at the church. Burial: Immediately after the service at Dublin Live Oak Cemetery.

Joyce was born Aug 8, 1935, in Comanche County. She was preceded in death by husband of 56 years, Walter Swindle Sr.; parents Hubert and Rubye Hancock; siblings Dorothy Barfield, Wendell Hancock, and Vada Wetzel.

Joyce is survived by her children: Vickie Summers-LaBaume and husband, Ray, of Dublin, Elaine and husband, Rev. Michael Shutter, of White Settlement, Rose Marie Watkins and husband, Brady, of Fort Worth, Walter "Eddie" Swindle Jr. of Dublin, Leroy Swindle and wife, Rita, of Fort Worth, Michael Swindle of Fort Worth, Frank Montgomery and wife, Darcie, of Fort Worth, and Renee Wysong of Fort Worth; grandchildren Michella Thompson and husband, Tim, Hope Summers, Deanna Dodson and husband, Paul, Jeremy Watkins, Lee Summers and wife, Katrina, Elanna Breed and husband, Billy, Dawn Summers, Roy Swindle and wife, Leslie, John Carlton and wife, Tara, Tony Swindle, Bettye Swindle and fiancé, Bryan Ross, Hayden Montgomery, and Isabella Wysong; great-grandchildren Amanda Watkins, Krystal Gabbert and husband, Carson, Victoria Thompson and fiancé, Courtney Savage, Elyssa Ullmann and husband, Daniel, Kyle Dodson and wife, Katelynn, Shawn Watkins, Dylan Watkins, Emery Summers, Jayden Watkins, Maddelynn and Raeleigh Swindle, and Mckynlee Summers; great-great-grandchildren Stetson Johnson and Jace Gabbert; sister, RoseMary Gaby and numerous loved ones and friends.
