Johnna Jan (King) Boies, aged sixty-three, passed away with tranquility on March 7, 2024, in Ft. Worth, Texas. Born on the twenty-second of February in the year 1961, she lived a life characterized by unwavering devotion to her family, a gentle spirit, and a kindhearted sense of humor that touched the lives of many.
She is survived by a family who cherished her dearly: her son, Trent Boies; her grandson, Elliott Trent Boies; her brother, Larry King; her sister, Rayanne McClatchy; and her beloved nieces and nephews, D'Nai Pringle, Garry King, Chandler King, Arrika Black, and Jode Rae. Preceding her in passing were her parents, Johnny Elcon King and Toka Rae King; her brother, Gary John King; and her devoted husband, Jeffrey Trent Boies.
A graduate of Dublin High School, Johnna furthered her education at Texas State University in San Marcos. Her professional life was marked by service to others, including time as a Dental Assistant, and in food service at Dublin ISD. She dedicated many years to member services and hospitality at Piney Shores Resort in Conroe, Texas. In later years, she found joy in homemaking and being a steadfast partner to her husband, Jeffrey.
Johnna's faith was deeply personal, guiding her through life with quiet dignity and a compassionate heart.
Remembered for her warmth, her nurturing presence, and her ability to find joy in everyday moments, Johnna's legacy is one of love and laughter, generously shared with all who knew her.
A service to celebrate Johnna's life will be held at Barbee Cemetery in Dublin, Texas. Arrangements are entrusted to Harrell Funeral Home of Dublin, Texas. Johnna's memory will be forever held in the hearts of her family and friends as they continue to honor her life and the love she gave so freely.
Rest now, sweet Johnna, in the embrace of the great mystery.
