John Roland O'Grady, a long-time resident of the Dublin, Purvis, and Carlton communities, passed away on June 2, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 77. Born on July 8, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Charlene and John O'Grady, John was known for his love of spending time with his family, playing 42, barbecuing, and watching football as a true Packers fan. He will be remembered for his overall wearing, old western watching, and taking care of his cows at the farm. Most of all, he will be remembered for his generous heart, his ability to never meet a stranger, and his willingness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be missed by many.

John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 18 years, Laura O'Grady. He is survived by his children, Missy Strickland and husband, James, Kenneth O'Grady and wife, Debra, Leslie Montgomery and husband, Andy; grandchildren, J.K. O'Grady, Jaci McPherson, Ty O'Grady; great-grandchildren, Brylee Brooks, Kimlee Brooks; and many friends, including a very dear friend, like a son, Eric Smith.
