JD Payne, 94, passed away on April 7, 2020 in Hico, Texas. He was born on February 3, 1926 in Cleburne, Texas to his parents Cecil Elbert Payne and Neal Elizabeth (Stedman) Payne. JD was a farmer all of his life and retired after working 32 years at Bradberry's Best. JD was a United States Veteran of the US Army and served during WWII and earned a WWII Victory Medal. JD Payne is proceeded in death by his wife Leona Payne, his son Vernon Turner, his two brothers Clarence Payne and Zane Payne and his sister Paulene Crawford. JD is survived by his daughter Barbara Holcomb, his son Ray Turner, his sister-in-law Earline Payne, his granddaughters Judy Peters and Myra Sojourner, his grandsons Gene Turner, Terry Turner, DeWayne Holcomb, Scott Turner, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly.

No funeral home visitation.
Services will be held on Thursday April 9, 2020 at the Cow Creek Cemetery at 1:00 pm.
