James Arvel Davis, 84, passed away peacefully in his home on June 30, 2018. He was born in Ardmore, Oklahoma on March 17, 1934 to Lee O. & Helen Lavata (Richards) Davis.

James married to Dorothy Charlene (Mote) Davis on September 15, 1959 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She preceded him in death on September 25, 2008 as well as their daughter, Linda Applegate, on July 24, 2007; and his siblings Marilyn Davis Perry, Charles Thomas Davis, Edward Smith, and Diana Solomon Smith.

James was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a devoted Christian. He worked at Bell Helicopter, making helicopter propellers.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law - John & Laura O'Grady; his daughters - Missy Brooks and Leslie Montgomery; his grandchildren - Amy Valknin, John Kenneth O'Grady, Ty Daniel O'Grady, Jaci Brooks, Missy O'Grady Brooks, Nicole Osburn, and Jaclyn Woolsey; his great-grandchildren - Sadie Quirk, Brylee Hemphill, and Kimlea Hemphill; his brothers and sister-in-law - Lonnie Davis, Kenneth & Doris Davis, and many more relatives and friends.
