Jackie Sue Pettijohn passed away on June 23, 2026, at the age of 73, in Fort Worth, surrounded by her husband and children.

Jackie was born in Lookeba, Oklahoma on April 18, 1953, to Gladys and A.J. Harbuck who instilled in her a deep love of family and a stubbornness that she carried her entire life. She was the second to youngest of thirteen siblings. After meeting and marrying her best friend on January 29, 1973, Jackie settled down to start a family in Aledo, Texas where she spent her career as a rural postal carrier. Jackie was a devoted and loving sister, best friend, wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived a quiet life, rich in love with family and friends. 

Jackie was a bright shining light that drew all around her in. She was a force in life, a steady voice that guided those she loved and will continue to do so from above for those that need her.

Jackie is survived by her husband, A.J.; her children, Aaron and Kelly; her son in law, Frank; her grandchildren, Logan, Hayden, Billy, and Ella; brothers, Lee and Bud; sisters, Veda, Johnnie, and Wanda.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11am at Harrell Funeral Home, Dublin Texas.
