GRAVESIDE SERVICES; 10:00 am, Wednesday Aug. 13, 2014 in Purves Liveoak Cemetery with burial with Navy Military Honors.
VISITATION: 5 to 7 pm. Tuesday at Harrell Funeral Home.
Dwayne was born November 14, 1947 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. He went to be with his LORD on August 9, 2014 at the age of 66. He was the son of Raymond Burkes and Lahoma (Bell) Burkes.
Dwayne is survived by his sons: Jimmy Ray Burkes of Corpus Christi, Tx, Casey Burkes of Dublin, Texas and Christopher Rives of Marble Falls, Texas. His daughters: Terra Ronje of Corpus Christi, Texas and Christina Hykel of Bluff Dale, Texas. His sisters: Jeanna Kirkland of Oklahoma and Lavieta Burkes of Kansas City, Missouri and (11) grandchildren and (1) great-granddaughter.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the U. S. Navy and worked for A. T. & T. before retirement.
