Dorothy Jean Mathews was born on June 29, 1935 in Cuthand, Texas to her parents William Stafford Blissard and Elizabeth (Preston) Blissard. Dorothy passed away on April 27, 2020 in Kaufman, Texas. She was widowed by her husband Darroll Mathews. Dorothy and Darroll got married on July 1, 1983 in Irving, Texas. Dorothy was a member of the Baptist Church. She is proceeded in death by the father of her children, Clinton Udell Carson, on October 12, 2016, her husband, Darroll Mathews, on December 11, 2008 and her great-grandson, Hagan Reed Tutt, on May 15, 2012.

Dorothy is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Raymond and Theresa Carson of Nacogdoches, Texas and Darrell Wayne and Linda Carson of Colony, Texas and her daughter and son-in-law Patricia Allen and Henry Allen of Forney, Texas and five grandchildren and numerous family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Graveside service will be held at the Pecan Cemetery on Wednesday April 29, 2020 at 2:00pm.
