Dennis Ray Porter, 72, passed away on June 5, 2020. Dennis was born in Dublin, Texas to his parents Bernice Marie (Wilson) and Arther Ray Porter. Dennis married the love of his life, Lerri Gaye (Tankersley) Porter, on June 29, 1973 and together they had one son. Dennis was retired rail road and farmer. He had a passion for everything outdoors including hunting, fishing, working and owning cattle. Dennis was a member of Fair Haven Baptist Church in DeLeon, Texas. Dennis is proceeded in death by his parents Bernice Marie (Wilson) and Arther Ray Porter, and his sister Marcia Ann Porter. Dennis Porter is survived by his wife Lerri Gaye Porter, his son Cagan Ray Porter, his brothers and sisters-in-law Doyle Wayne and Lisa Porter, and Jimmy Paul and Ginger Porter, along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Memorials can be sent to the Alzheimer's Association and the Diabetics Association.

Visitation will be held Sunday, June 7, 2020 from 5-7pm at the Harrell Memorial Chapel in Dublin, Texas.

Graveside service will be Monday, June 8, 2020 at 9:30 at the Barbee Cemetery in Erath County.
