Darlene Lou Acker of Dublin, Texas returned to her loving Savior on September 9, 2023. Darlene was born on January 1, 1946, to her parents Grace and Thomas Budd in Kendallville, Indiana. She was a long-time member of the Purvis Baptist Church. She loved attending for the wonderful sermons and fellowship to be had. Darlene was an avid puzzle solver and renowned for her yardwork. No matter the task, Darlene was sure to be on top of it. Anything to keep her busy was her idea of immaculate. She most of all loved horses, cats, her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids. She was the utmost supportive to her family. No matter what the occasion or sport, Darlene was there watching Larry and Bill back in their prime days.

Darlene is preceded by her parents, Grace and Thomas Budd, and brother, Chris Budd.

She is survived by her sons, Bill Acker and Larry Acker, daughter Terri Acker, Grandkids, Chelsea Acker, Mikayla Acker, Sarah and spouse Shawn Watson, Stephanie and spouse Jacob Shaw, and great grandkids, Mckinlie Acker, Willow Acker, Kiana Watson, Tatum Watson, Rebel Watson, Serenity Shaw, Hunter Shaw, and Oakli Shaw.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Harrell Memorial Chapel at 10:00am.
