Daniel "Dan" Warren Evans III, age 91, has passed away peacefully in his home on October 3, 2017. He was born June 1, 1926 to his parents, Daniel Warren Evans II and Georgia (Woods) Evans-Walker.  He married Arcola Wandall (Johnson) in 1952 and together they had three children.

Dan retired from the military, serving in the Marine Corps and U.S. Army, where he served in WWII, the Korean War, and training soldiers in the Vietnam war.

He received The Bronze Metal for heroism for his actions during the Korean war

Dan was preceded in death by his wife on September 19, 2013 and his son, Larry Evans in 1978.

He will be remembered by his daughter and son-in-law - Karen Evans & Michael Grossi of Houston, Texas; his son and daughter-in-law - Daniel "Danny" Warren Evans IV & Sheryl of Georgetown, Texas; his grandsons - Daniel Warren Evans V & wife Stefani of San Marcos, Texas and Larry Evans, Jr.; his granddaughter - Page Evans Cooper; his sister - Dorthy Evans Murray of Scottsdale, Arizona; and numerous other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
