Cathenia D. Fox, a devoted Christian known for her loving nature and unyielding faith, passed away on June 10, 2026, in Brownwood, Texas. Born on February 25, 1957, in Dublin, Texas, Kat lived a life deeply rooted in her faith and family, touching the lives of many with her generous spirit and warm heart.
Throughout her life, Kat was embraced by her community for her open-heartedness—she was a person who never met a stranger. Her passion for God, her family, and the Texas Rangers epitomized the order of things most dear to her. A true aficionado of baseball, she delighted in all things red and blue and found joy in Christian music videos as well as her cherished Hallmark programs. Above all, her family remained her greatest treasure.
Kat is mourned by her nephews, Dwaine and Deana Daniel, and Jerald Murphy; niece Miranda and Dillion Filio; brother-in-law Jimmy Murphy; cousins Kim Ancrum, Misty Harmon, and Darla Voigt; grandchildren Alexander and Mahayla; great-nieces Ruby and Jolene; great-nephew, Jordan, stepchildren, Austin Fox, Tyler Fox, and Makayla Hall, as well as numerous extended family and friends who remember her for her boundless kindness and unwavering faith.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joyce and Jerry Daniel; brother Louis; sister Rhonda; her late husbands, Steve Pickett and Barry Fox; and great-nephew Jimi Murphy.
Visitation will take place on June 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Harrell Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at Pecan Cemetery, 1960 County Road 291, Dublin, TX, commencing at 11:00 AM.
Kat's life was a testament to living with grace, generosity, and faith. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
