Billy Bill Vernell Gilbreath, 93, passed away on December 15, 2019 in Lipan, Hood County, Texas formerly of Granbury, Texas. He was born on August 25, 1926 in Comanche County, Texas to his parents Andrew Rollin Gilbreath and Lillian Rita (Bryson). He married Helen LaRue (Burney) and together they had four children.

1944-1946- Merchant Marine- Radio Telegraph Operator, Electrician- Philippines and Alaska

1948-1949- Panhandle and Santa Fe Railroad- Agent and Telegraph Operator
1949-1951- U.S. Post Office- Mail Handler- Dallas, Texas
1951-1973- U.S. Energy Office- Personal and Manpower Management- Various assignments in the U.S.-
Overseas assignments- Germany and Southeast Asia- Retired in 1973
1973-1974- U.S. Energy Office- Reviewing fuel applications for approval or disapproval- This was the period of the oil embargo and the beginning of the Energy Administration.
1974-1987- Veterans Administration- Contact Representative Ft Worth, Amarillo V. A. Hospital. Field Representative for the 26 countries in the Texas Panhandle.

Daughters and sons-in-law- Dana Kay and Boyd Monk of Lubbock, Texas, Kathy and Danny Melton of Lipan, Texas, and Lisa and Jim Emory of Huckabee, Texas
Grand-children- Jessica Richardson, Destiny Melton, Billy Nicholas Melton, Faith Melton and Salise Nunn
Great-grandchildren- Jade, Jillian, Brint, Mykeil and Austin.
Numerous other relatives and friends that will miss him.
