Antoinett Cheri Mathis, 61, was born on November 24,1962 in Washington, D.C to her parents Cornelius Hood and the late Luvenia P. Hood.

She transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday January 3, 2024. Antoinett Mathis was preceded in death by her mother Luvenia P. Hood and sister Mary Finley.

She received her education in District of Columbia at HD Woodson.

Those left to rejoice in her memories are her daughters: Raquel Queen-Davis (Al Davis) and Reva Murray (Kelvin Murray Jr). Grandchildren: Destiny Johnson, Grayson Davis, Justice Davis, Kelvin Murray III, Kheyon Murray, Khady Murray, Khameron Murray. Siblings: Rene Hood, Cornelius Hood III (Sonja Hood) and Lennette McLean (Christopher McLean). Nieces and nephews: Rudy Wilson, Ronnell Wilson, DeNina Willard, Joshua Hood, Josiah Hood, Mara Hood and Moriah Hood.

There are no tears in Heaven nor grief of any kind;
I leave this final teardrop to those I've left behind.
Though absent from the body,
I'm present with the Lord;
The joy of my Salvation is now my reward.

I'm now in Heaven with my Mother, Husband and Sister.

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Harrell Funeral Home from 11:00-12:30.

Graveside services will be held Friday, January 12, 2024, at Round Grove Cemetery in Dublin, Texas.
